In Another World with Lilac Skies

This series reflects a transition from childhood to adulthood. When I was a child I wanted a better world for me and my little sister, and the world that I constructed in my mind had lilac skies. As we grew older, the hope of living in a world with lilac skies faded, and the harsh reality set in. To me, this piece brings to life the better world that I envisioned as a child while validating the feelings and traumas of the real one.
